Turnips - Hakurei (bunch)
Turnips with Mustard and Thyme
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Hakurei Turnips
2 Tbsp Whole-grain Mustard
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Fresh Thyme, chopped
Salt & Pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Remove the turnip greens and reserve for your favorite salad
Wash and trim the top and bottoms off of the turnips
Cut the turnips into large bite sized pieces
Steam or boil the turnips for 15 minutes
In a bowl whisk together the mustard, oil, lemon juice, and thyme
Drain the turnips and toss with the mustard mixture
Season with salt and pepper
Yields: 4-6 servings
